On July 20, we’ll be talking about the basics of subtitling, from translation matters―such as concision, simplification, and generalization―to the very mechanics of it―including character limitation, line separation, and synchronization. We’ll focus on two online platforms, YouTube and DotSub, and also check out Subtitle Composer, a software that provides additional functionalities required by more sophisticated requests.
