RAFA LOMBARDINO is a translator and journalist from Brazil who has been living in California since 2002. She is the author of "Tools and Technology in Translation ― The Profile of Beginning Language Professionals in the Digital Age," which is based on her UC San Diego Extension class. Rafa has been working as a translator since 1997 and currently manages a network of colleagues at her company, Word Awareness, in addition to teaching webinars at Proz.com. In 2010, she finally started working with what first attracted her to languages and translation―books and subtitles―and today she balances technical translations with more creative projects.
